Join Men's Choir 2022/2023!
Men's Choir is a voluntary, ungraded club that meets at lunch on Mondays and Wednesdays. No audition or prior experience is required. Enrollment in the Choir program is not required. Men's Choir performs in 2 or more Choir Concerts per semester.
Show Choir is a BRAND NEW course offering! It is a contemporary Choir class that will perform modern pop and musical theater arrangements with a bit of movement and light choreography. Students will have fun synthesizing music, facial expressions, and dance into a visually-appealing and crowd-pleasing routine (think: Glee and Pitch Perfect!). All are welcome, regardless of experience. No audition is required!

Simi Valley High School has a rich choral history, spanning across many decades. We have three main choir classes: Concert Choir, Vocal Ensemble, and Vocal Jazz Choir. Concert Choir is an entry-level group that performs a wide variety of styles, Vocal Ensemble is an auditioned, intermediate group made up of treble voices, and Vocal Jazz is a rigorous, auditioned group that focuses mainly on advanced jazz & contemporary pop arrangements. In addition, Men's Choir and Show Choir are voluntary, non-graded groups that meet at lunch time 1-2 times per week. All Simi High Choir groups enjoy performing frequently on-campus, in the community, and in choral festivals of various destinations each year.
Our Fall Concert, Around the World in 80 minutes, was a smashing success!
On Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 the Jazzcamillos performed at the SCVA Vocal Jazz & A Cappella Festival at Valencia High School. We received great feedback from clinician, Cindy Dicken!
On Thursday, March 7th, our choirs participated in the Simi Valley District Choral Festival. Our Jazzcamillos earned a Superior Rating, Concert Choir earned an Excellent rating, and Vocal Ensemble was only half a point a way from a Superior rating!

Thank you so much to Jason Peplinski, our Superintendant, Derrick Hoffman, Director of Purchasing, Dean May, our school Principal, Steve Kilgore and Dan Dunlap in Maintenence, and Deborah Lindquist of Wenger for helping us get sturdy reliable risers in the Choir Classroom! What an amazing upgrade!
